No doubt, I would love to get my hands on a copy of Vittorio Giardino's La Porta d'Oriente. Those of you with an inside track to comic book collecting, let me know how I might be able to find one!
This image is strikingly reminiscent of Edouard Vuillard's Place Vintimille sidewalk streetscape below. (Is the above a wink to "les Nabis", perhaps?)
